Facebook Marketplace has had a billion users, as per Facebook sources, and many media outlets have shared in recent years. I have been using Facebook, but I never feel like using Facebook Marketplace simply because I don't have any clients who want to go for Facebook Marketplace to sell something. But we all knew we had OLx, Indiamart, Simply Dial with so much credibility. Why will people go for Facebook Marketplace? Facebook has a history of fake ID, there are cases of fraud on Facebook Marketplace. Considering everything in mind, I decided to do a survey on LinkedIn to determine how many of my connections know about Facebook Marketplace, or how many people know about Facebook Marketplace, and the results are shopping.
People who have interacted with my LInkedin Survey are between 25-55 years old, and all live in India, and couple are NRI. Question of the survey was Have you purchased anything from Facebook Marketplace? and almost 52 participants interacted with the survey as expected. 8% of them said yes when asked whether they have purchased anything from Facebook Marketplace, and 79% said no when asked whether they use Facebook market place or not. 13% of respondent said they are not aware of Facebook Marketplace. One thing is to be noted, most people who have interacted with a poll question are part of big companies, and few have them are founders and co-founders of companies.
On the basis of a poll, we can expect people to know about Facebook Marketplace, but people are not trusting it should buy anything from over there.
