So a few days back, I found this Winning: The Unforgiving Race to Greatness (Tim Grover Winning Series) book on Amazon Prime and decided to read it. To explore it, The author TIM S Grover is the elite performance coach that authored the worldwide bestseller and Relentless and whose clients have included Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant comes to this diabolically simple formula for succeeding in business, sports, or any arena wherever the battle is ruthlessly unforgiving.
What I have learned from this book:
Tim shared the secrets to the basketball legend's success. Tim said one of the most significant factors was Bryant figuring out how not to overwork himself; he would often get only three or four hours of sleep.
To win every time, you have to suffer the pain of discipline hard work every time.
Favorite quote from this book "Rest at the end, not the middle."
Companies need to learn to focus on what needs to get done and then take time to rest.
Success is about working smarter, not harder.
Setting realistic expectations from your work is one of the best ways to reduce or prevent burnout.
It's about deleting everything, deleting all the distractions but focusing on what was essential and what will take you to the next level.
